حال یہ دل کا بتاؤں تو کیسے بتاؤں؟دل میں آنسو، اور آنکھوں
 میں خون 

اس دنیا کے رنگوں کو پہچانوں تو کیسے پہچانوں؟

(How can I tell this from the heart?

Tears in the heart, and blood in the eyes

How do I recognize the colors of this world?)

بے مطلب ہے زندگی بے فیض ہیں لوگ

 دل و جان سے چاہنا سکھاؤں تو کیسے سکھاؤں؟

(Meaningless life and useless people

How can I teach to love with all my heart?)

دو دن کا ہے سفر اور تہ کرنی ہیں  منزلیں کیی

ان منزلوں کو عبور کروں تو کیسے کروں؟

(The journey is of  two days and the destinations have to be folded

How do I cross these stages?)

کیا میں؟کیا تو؟یہ اتفاق و تقدیر کی باتیں  

ان میں الجھ کر سلجھاؤن تو کیسے سلجاؤں؟

(What am I? What are you? These are words of coincidence and destiny

How do I solve them?)

نہ بتائیے آزمائش و مصیبت کی باتیں

جب دل ہی بوجھ گیا ہو  تو انگارہ دیے کو لگاؤں تو کیسے 

لگاؤں ؟

(Don't talk about trials and tribulations
